Pyrography on wood.
this one was Fun to work on, a commissioned birthday gift. I designed the layout of images based on a list of the recipient's favorite/important things. Burned entirely by hand are a portrait of the owner's family, goofy, the president's quarters, the lady and sons restaurant, two kitties, the rep elephant, a cross, the murphy knot, duran duran cover, panthers logo, and of course the text and little curly flowers. The buyer asked for a box made to fit a bracelet and beads, so I cut and added smaller wood pieces to the inside for the sections. Finished with a natural color stain. |
